Make sure the bulbs are planted deep enough. Otherwise, the stem will be unstable and easily bend when the wind blows. The tuber is deepened into the soil to a distance 3-4 times greater than the diameter of the bulb. Planting deeper will result in the plant not blooming at all.

A few days before planting, the bulb is peeled from its dense shell. If you ignore the procedure, the plant will not germinate.

Abundant watering carried out once every 7 days. On hot days, you can add water 3-4 times a week, after which the soil should be loosened.

Gladioli thrive in well-lit areas. If there is a lack of light, the plant will not bloom.

To avoid fungal diseases and rotting, flowers are planted in a well-ventilated area.

Planting and further care

In order for gladioli of any variety to germinate and bloom safely, you need to prepare for planting. The tubers are peeled in advance and laid out on the windowsill. In this place, the temperature should be at least +22 C. Before planting in the soil, the tuber is treated with a weak solution of potassium permanganate.

In temperate climates, the best time to place them in the ground is early May. The further condition of the flower will depend on the correct placement. A bright place, protected from drafts, is ideal. Do not save space; plant tubers at a sufficient distance from each other.
