Gladiolus

Gladiolus is the most colorful and long-blooming flower. Even in a vase, its flowers will delight the eye for two weeks. In the flower world, he is considered the king, because his rivals have no such variety of shapes, sizes and colors.

Gladiolus flower is very unpretentious, but not for all varieties. I plant gladiolus bulbs in sun-warmed and well-cultivated soil in the month of May. Before planting, they should be soaked in a solution of garlic or potassium permanganate. Young tubers are planted several days earlier than adults.

The planting depth of gladiolus depends on the size of the bulb and the composition of the soil. The optimal depth is three times the diameter of the bulb; sand is sprinkled on the bottom. The top of the bed is sprinkled with peat. In the absence of rain, the planting is moistened with soft water.

The first leaf appears after planting on the fifteenth day. This plant loves sun, water and light. When growing gladiolus, the soil is fed with mineral fertilizers.
