How to make a greenhouse for cucumbers:

  1. At the bottom of the dug pit we pour a layer of thermal insulation.
  2. On top, pour a thick layer of organic material and manure, which we cover with 20-30 centimeters of soil. Before planting seedlings, the soil should be watered with hot water a week before. The rotting will be provided by heating the greenhouse.
  3. A box is knocked down along the perimeter of the pit.
  4. A frame is bent from rods, which is attached to the box with hinges.
  5. The final touch is covering the frame with film.

Some vegetable growers, whose greenhouses are not very large, now use stretch film instead of regular greenhouse film. It does not sag, and when covering the greenhouse, it forms air cushions. Thanks to these pillows, the temperature in the greenhouse is much higher than when covered with a film intended for this purpose.
