In order to cook thick jam, which can easily be used later in baking, you will need to prepare 0.5 kg of fruit and the same amount of sugar in advance. It is better to prepare jam in a container with a wide bottom, ideally if it is a stainless steel pan.
Preparation consists of several stages:
- Mix the thinly sliced fruits with sugar and place in a saucepan. It is recommended to first pour at least 100 ml of water into the bottom of the container;
- Place on low heat and cover with a lid. Simmer for five minutes;
- Remove the mashed fruit from the heat and use a blender to give the mixture a uniform consistency;
- We put the resulting mass back on the fire and boil for half an hour or even forty minutes.
It is important to take into account that during cooking the jam may splatter, which is worth taking into account so as not to get burned. If the final product comes out liquid, you should not use any thickeners, just boil it a little longer.
Apple jam with cinnamon, in the oven, without sugar

- Place the pan over low heat and simmer for an hour until fully cooked.
It is important to take into account that due to the pectin, which is part of the peel, the jam will come out quite dense, so you should not boil it. the only thing you should pay special attention to is the need to constantly stir so that the mass does not burn.
