How to grow a tangerine that will bear fruit
In the wild, a young mandarin bears its first fruits at 4-5 years of age. But such fruits are not tasty and small, they are practically not eaten. In order to get sweet tangerines at home, it is recommended to get vaccinated.It is best to do it at a time when the sap begins to move in the plant: the beginning of May and the end of August. Otherwise, such manipulations make no sense.

- A plant that you grew from a seed with a trunk diameter of no more than 6 cm, it is better to graft a bud from another tree during this period of growth

After such manipulations, everything needs to be secured tightly with tape.
It is also recommended to place the tangerine in a greenhouse to create optimal conditions for growth. Whether the budding has taken root or not will become clear only in a month. Therefore, experienced gardeners recommend making several pinches at once so that at least one of them takes root.
As soon as it has become clear that the bud has taken root well, the plant can be taken out of the greenhouse and gradually accustomed to living in normal conditions. Everything is simply written, but the planting cutting itself is taken from a fruit-bearing tangerine, or from a similar tree grown from a seed. It is not clear why an incision is made on the stem above the graft.
I tried to grow a tree in a tub on the window. I don’t know why, but it never began to bear fruit, even after six years, although I took seeds from a good ripe fruit. I don’t know, maybe a vaccination would help, but I’ll probably now just look for options with a seedling.
