Proper cultivation of rosemary from seeds

growing rosemary from seeds

We are used to using those spices that were always at hand - black and red pepper, garlic, parsley, celery, mint. but other, no less wonderful, tasty and healthy spicy plants are used very rarely. Perhaps because they do not grow in our climate, and therefore are very rarely found on our stele. For example, rosemary. Is it possible to implement growing rosemary from seeds?

This spicy plant - resident of warm countries. That is why it is difficult to grow it in central Russia and further north. But this is only in open ground. But such heat-loving plants can be successfully grown at home or in greenhouse conditions.

Rosemary seeds are sown into pre-prepared, saturated useful substances, land. This plant prefers light soils, as it does not tolerate waterlogging. Sown seeds are best cover with film before emergence. But the plant itself can become moldy indoors. So when will the plant get a little stronger? It must be exposed to fresh air for several hours. Or ventilate where rosemary grows.

Experts say that the best taste and aroma qualities are manifested in those rosemary bushes that were grown from cuttings from the mother plant and not from seeds. Perhaps this is true. But sometimes it’s much easier to buy a bag of seeds and grow a plant yourself than to go to any fruit nursery.

Try growing rosemary from seeds alone at home, on the windowsill. And you will receive not only a fragrant seasoning for meat and fish dishes on your table, but also a beautiful perennial bush that will delight you with its fragrant greens.

Good luck!
