Garlic. Growing spring garlic

Garlic is not only one of the most common seasonings, but also a popular remedy in folk medicine. It is used to fight colds, intestinal infections, hypertension, and also to improve vision. This plant can be found in literally every garden. Growing spring garlic is an extremely simple process; moreover, this crop requires virtually no care, and the gardener will only need to slightly loosen the soil from time to time and pull out the weeds around the plant, as well as water it once a week.
Cultivation of spring garlic lasts from April, when planting is carried out in the soil, to the beginning of autumn, when the bulbs grow so much that they can already be pulled out. Before planting, each garlic bulb must be divided into individual cloves and placed at a short distance from each other in slightly loosened soil. Please note that the cloves should be laid out and not stuck in, as this compacts the soil and, therefore, impedes the development of the root system. Next, the planted cloves need to be covered with soil and the garden bed should be watered a little.
A few weeks before harvesting, you should stop watering the garlic so that the bulbs have time to dry out slightly. It is very important to harvest the garlic on time (no earlier than mid-August and no later than early-mid September). Unripe bulbs often turn out to be loose, are very poorly stored and quickly rot.If the garlic is overripe, the scales covering the bulb easily peel off, and during storage it also very quickly becomes unusable.

Garlic is really easy to grow. And collecting it is a pleasure. It is better to loosen the soil with small rakes. Good luck!
