Brief characteristics of the variety

The Codryanka grape is a table grape variety. Its berries are dark purple in color, large, weighing up to 8-16 grams. The grape bunches are large - 400-600 grams; there are cases when it was possible to grow bunches of about 1.5 kg.
This is an extremely early variety: a bountiful harvest can be obtained already on the 110th day after bud break. At the same time, ripe bunches stay on the vine for a long time without losing their taste.
Codriana has a simple taste and good palatability due to its dense juicy pulp, skin that is practically unnoticeable when eaten, and a small number of easily separated seeds.
From disadvantages of the variety Codrianka can be noted for its tendency to pea, which is most evident in years unfavorable for flowering. However, gardeners easily turn this disadvantage into an advantage: by treating the vineyard with gibberellin, they get large berries that are completely free of seeds.
Experts say that almost every grape variety has a tendency to pea.On some bunches you can find about 30% of small berries. Of course, this spoils the presentation, but if the grapes are grown for consumption within the family, then this is not so bad. Peas ripen much earlier than larger berries, their sugar concentration is much higher, so they are sweeter and more pleasant to taste. In addition, they crack less and do not rot.
The Codryanka grape variety is different high yield, good resistance to various diseases, frost resistance. Its berries are well transported, have a beautiful appearance and good taste, for which they are in high demand among consumers.

Growing grapes

Codrianca

Like any other grape variety, Codryanka requires correct landing and proper care. Only in this case will a bountiful harvest be guaranteed every year.
Annual seedlings or cuttings of annual vines can be used as planting material. However, seedlings are considered the best planting material.
Planting of seedlings is carried out in the fall before the onset of frost, or in early spring before the buds bloom. Place the seedling in a previously prepared hole and cover it with fertile soil fertilized with mineral fertilizers. After this, a peg is driven in near the hole, a seedling is tied to it, and the soil is watered abundantly with water (about 2-3 buckets). If planting was done in the fall, then additional hilling is carried out.
Planting grapes from cuttings is carried out in the spring before the juices begin to flow. The cut cutting is soaked in water for 1-2 days, after which, to protect the cutting, its upper part is dipped in hot paraffin, and the lower part is placed in a solution that stimulates root formation. The cuttings treated in this way are placed in a previously prepared hole, covered with fertile soil, which is well compacted. The planting site must be covered with a piece of plastic film, and the top of the cutting is threaded into a specially made hole.
Caring for young seedlings grape cultivation consists of regular watering, mulching, fertilizing, and covering for the winter. Sprouts of young grapes are not heavily pruned. For the first few years, every year in the fall after harvesting, they only remove excess shoots, thereby forming the bush according to the required pattern.
The first harvest of Codryanka grapes can be harvested in the third year. However, with good care and optimal climatic conditions, grapes can produce a harvest in the second year.

Comments

A very good grape variety. My grandmother had one of these hanging around her arch. Delicious - I remember these juicy, ripe, sweet berries right now. With him, indeed, there was usually no hassle; if the weather conditions were more or less favorable, the harvest was always good.

Visually one to one like “Moldova”. It’s a pity that they haven’t learned how to convey the taste over the Internet. Although judging by the video it is very sweet. You can't even drive away the wasp with your hand.
