Medicinal properties and uses of medicinal hyssop

Hyssop is a medicinal, honey-bearing and simply wonderful ornamental plant. It is unpretentious and frost-resistant. It reaches a height of about 40-80 cm. Hyssop leaves have a pleasant aroma and a slightly bitter taste.
Uses of medicinal hyssop:
- promotes the secretion of mucus in the upper respiratory tract, and therefore is indicated for their disease;
- has an antispasmodic effect on the digestive tract;
- has a strong carminative effect - regulates intestinal function, promotes better absorption of nutrients, normalizes appetite;
- It can be used as an antiseptic for diseases of the mouth and throat, as well as for some skin diseases.
It may not be strange, but the use of medicinal hyssop is also possible in the kitchen. Used as a spice in the preparation of meat and fish dishes, potatoes and legumes. Ideal in combination with celery and parsley.
This plant is strictly contraindicated during pregnancy, people suffering from hypertension and epilepsy, as well as children under 2 years of age.
It is recommended to use medicinal hyssop under the supervision of specialists.
