Successful cultivation and care of peppers

Capsicum is a valuable vegetable crop; it contains a large amount of ascorbic acid, as well as carotene, sugars, rutin and essential oils, thanks to which the pepper has the aroma we love so much.

In the conditions of the middle zone, growing and caring for pepper has its own difficulties, since pepper is a light-loving and heat-loving plant - it needs 140 days with a temperature of 20-30 degrees to grow. Therefore, in our region, peppers are grown in greenhouses through seedlings. Pepper seedlings must be planted in February so that the bushes are viable when planted in May. When subsequently planting in a greenhouse, it is necessary to maintain a distance of 50-60 cm between the bushes.

You need to make sure that the soil for the pepper is light and, if necessary, lime. Pepper requires regular, abundant watering; overdrying the pepper will cause the ovaries to fall off. It is also necessary to fertilize with liquid organic fertilizers.

Don’t forget about timely watering, weeding, tying and feeding peppers, and growing and caring for peppers will not be difficult for you, and your table will always have this vitamin-packed summer vegetable!
