Potato Symphony

One of the popular vegetable crops is potatoes. Thanks to the active work of breeders, more and more new varieties with improved characteristics appear every year.
Recently, many gardeners have given preference to potato varieties of Dutch selection. In Russia, Symphony potatoes are especially popular among these varieties, which are grown mainly in the South, North-West, Far East, Central and Siberia. Even in cold climates, potatoes are characterized by high yields.
Symphony is a table variety. In terms of ripening, it belongs to the mid-early varieties. The ripening period ranges from 90 to 110 days.
Medium-sized oval potato tubers with smooth red skin and small eyes. The potato flesh is light yellow, but during cooking it changes color to a lighter color.
Potatoes Symphony have excellent taste. The variety is ideal for cooking.
The value of the variety lies in its fairly high dry matter content and the plant’s resistance to many potato diseases. Not only tubers, but also potato leaves are resistant to late blight. Symphony is also not afraid of the Y virus and scab. High resistance to the golden nematode is also observed. At the same time, potatoes are not susceptible to mechanical damage.
Growing this potato variety is no different from growing other mid-early Dutch varieties. With proper care, 2 kilograms of planted potatoes can yield about 40 kg of yield.
