Celery, for example, was used to decorate the tombs of prominent people and, in addition, along with laurel, celery served as the basis for wreaths decorating the heads of victors.

It is interesting that they began to eat it only in the Middle Ages, since until then celery was considered an exclusively medicinal product. Hmm, informative. For some reason I thought that celery and Jerusalem artichoke were the same thing, well, as if celery were like Jerusalem artichoke, roots. It seems to me that I’m not the only one who thought so, although maybe I’m wrong?)

Of course, I’ve also heard about celery, but I haven’t tried it myself yet. It turns out he's so useful.
dub-ste, Jerusalem artichoke, or as it is called, earthen pear, is a completely different plant, similar to celery only in that their root vegetables are consumed. They are even very different in appearance; the Jerusalem artichoke is very tall, about 2 meters high and looks like a sunflower.

Celery adds variety to our daily menu; it adds piquancy to salads and hot dishes. In addition, it perfectly regulates the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract. The root stores well, and the petioles can be bought in the supermarket at any time of the year. It is especially useful to include it in the diet in the spring, when there are not enough vitamins.

What I've never been able to grow is celery. When I see these smooth, large root vegetables, I even envy them. I grew something crooked and small. And after all, I tried to do everything “according to science.” I don't even know what's going on.
