Yield varieties of cucumbers and basic care for them

ogoretz

Everyone who plants cucumbers in their garden hopes for good harvests. And for this, first of all, it is advisable to choose productive varieties of cucumbers, as well as to properly grow seedlings or properly plant them in open ground, regularly water and care for the plants. You should also take into account the latitude in which you live; each variety of cucumber gives the expected yield from it, only in conditions favorable to it.

Cucumber is tasty and healthy, especially for those who have liver and kidney problems, a vegetable rich in fiber, vitamins, organic acids and water saturated with mineral salts.

Some productive varieties of cucumbers:

1. Elegant. A variety that produces a high yield, is characterized by a short growing period, tasty fruits and resistance to temperature changes.

2. Hybrid “Zozulya”. An early variety of cucumbers, hardy, tasty and excellent for pickling.

3. Voronezh. A productive, mid-late variety of cucumbers, which is suitable for canning and pickling.

4. Bush. An early-ripening, tasty variety of cucumbers, also suitable for preservation.

5. Pinocchio. An early-ripening hybrid with a high yield, resistant to bacteriosis and powdery mildew. Good for pickling and fresh consumption.

In order for cucumbers to bear fruit, you need to buy high-quality seeds or properly prepare them yourself, remember that you need to leave “female” cucumber seeds for a high yield.

For a fruitful harvest, cucumbers must be cared for:

- loosen the soil (in open ground, start with the emergence of seedlings and repeat every ten days);

- weeding;

- water regularly (preferably in the evening and with standing warm water);

- pinch shoots;

- feed correctly (organic (chicken droppings, manure) or mineral fertilizers).
