Planting tomatoes with seeds - subtleties and techniques

Thanks to the work of breeders, there are now a great variety of tomato varieties on the market. They differ in ripening time, fruit size, color, and taste. Which seeds to choose depends on your preferences and the conditions you can create for successful plant growth and harvest.
Planting tomatoes with seeds It is not produced immediately into the ground in a permanent place, but into various containers for obtaining seedlings. In order to grow strong seedlings, you must follow the rules for planting seeds.
It’s worth mentioning right away that when buying tomato seeds, pay attention to the ripening time of a particular variety. It is better to plant seeds of late-ripening varieties much earlier to obtain seedlings, so that the tomato fruits have time to ripen over the summer and do not remain green and inedible.
For better germination, seeds must be soaked either in a solution of special fertilizers that increase germination, or, in their absence, at least in a weak solution of potassium permanganate. Soaking time can vary from 3 to 24 hours.
Then the seeds are washed in running water, laid out on gauze or any other wet cloth and placed in a warm place, making sure that the cloth does not dry out. Tomato seeds begin to germinate approximately on the 3rd day.
Sprouted seeds are planted in rows with a depth of approximately 0.5-1 cm into the ground.First, containers with seeds are placed in a warm place, and after sprouts appear, they are moved to the windowsill, towards the light. The temperature favorable for growing seedlings is 18-25 degrees. And in the first 3-4 days after the emergence of seedlings, it can be lowered to 10-15 degrees so that the sprouts do not “stretch out”.
Properly planting tomatoes with seeds will allow you to get tasty and ripe fruits in your garden on time.
