how to germinate beans

Those gardeners who are interested in growing beans know that before planting them in the ground, they must first prepare them. Beginners are faced with the fact that they do not know how to germinate beans for planting in the ground so that they sprout well and have a good harvest.

How to sprout beans

First you need to sort the seeds, separating those that are too wrinkled, damaged, moldy beans and various debris. The remaining beans should be placed on a layer of damp cloth, covered with another layer of cloth on top and wetted with water. The fabric should be damp, but not wet, as excess water will cause the beans to rot. Bean seeds do not require much space and can be placed in an even layer.

On the second or third day, tender sprouts will appear and then they can be planted in the ground. This must be done carefully so as not to damage the sprout.

Although beans are an unpretentious plant, they produce the best harvest on neutral or slightly acidic soil, in an area protected from the wind. The sprouts are transplanted into the ground at a distance of about 20 centimeters between them. If planted in several rows, the distance between them should be at least half a meter. If the groundwater in the area is close to the fertile layer, it is best to plant beans on ridges, but if the soil warms up well, you can plant them just like that.

Caring for beans is simple - periodic loosening, weeding and abundant watering during drought and heat. Experts do not recommend sowing beans in one place every year. The roots of the beans can be left in the ground to enrich it with nitrogen and humus.
