Onion feeding

Onions are a very valuable vegetable crop. Thanks to its useful
Due to its properties, it is widely used in cooking and medicine.
Many summer residents dream of getting a good onion harvest. And for this you need to work hard. One of the important conditions for obtaining a rich harvest is the choice of soil and timely fertilizing of onions.
Onions are best grown in moist and non-saline fertile soil. Sandy and loamy soils are ideal. In this case, onions in any case need feeding.
As a rule, onions are fertilized two or three times. For the first time, feeding onions is carried out 40 days after planting. Diluted manure applied between the rows works well as a fertilizer. For one linear meter, 10 liters of slurry is enough. After fertilizing, abundant soil moisture is recommended.
The second feeding of onions is carried out 2 weeks after the first. In this case, the soil is fertilized with nitrophoska, which is diluted with water at the rate of 40-50 g of mineral fertilizer per 10 liters of water. And water the soil with this useful solution. About 5 liters are needed per square meter.
The third feeding of onions is carried out another 2-3 weeks after the second feeding. Mullein, 20g of superphosphate and 10g of potassium salt are diluted in a bucket of water. And they fertilize the soil abundantly, after which the onions are well irrigated.
In addition to fertilizing the soil, preventive treatment of green onion shoots against fungal diseases is also recommended. To do this, copper sulfate is diluted in 10 liters of water and sprayed on green onion feathers.
