Very ripe fruits can be stored when picked for no more than 2 weeks and no less than 10 days. It is very important to harvest on time. You cannot use fruits when they are not yet fully ripe or when the pear is overgrown, or rather overripe. Flavoring the quality, in this case, of the pears deteriorates. In order to determine whether the fruit of Clapp's favorite pear is overripe, it is enough to shake the tree a little, but very carefully so as not to damage the fragile wood.
