Common pear

The common pear is a fairly common fruit tree.
The height of this tree is not very large, mostly from 5 to 15 meters, but sometimes taller pear trees up to 20 meters high are also found. The bark of the tree is dark brown. The common pear blooms in May, and the fruits ripen only towards the end of summer.
The branches of the pear are short, but at the same time they rise steeply or diverge widely to the sides, forming a luxurious crown. The leaves have an oval or round shape. The white flowers of the common pear are usually collected in small bunches.
The common pear bears fruits that are elongated or spherical in shape, with the diameter of the fruit reaching 3-4 centimeters. The fruits can only be eaten when overripe, since the pulp is hard and tart in taste.
Pear is a medicinal plant. Nutrients are contained not only in the fruits, but also in the leaves of the plant.
This healthy fruit is consumed both fresh, dried and canned. Pears are used to make jam, marmalade, candied fruits, marshmallows, various drinks and much more.
To normalize digestion, it is enough to eat very little fresh pears. To quench thirst, prepare a decoction of dried pears. The tart fruit has antiseptic, diuretic and analgesic effects. In folk medicine, baked pears help reduce cough in pulmonary tuberculosis and various forms of bronchitis.
Pears also have a strengthening effect, so they are good for gastrointestinal disorders.
In addition to traditional medicine, pear is also valued as a durable wood, and is therefore widely used for the production of furniture and musical instruments.
