Iberis perennial

Iberis perennial is not particularly beautiful, however has an amazing smell.
Because the plant not fussy to care for, then it can be grown in almost any conditions. These flowers will be an excellent decoration for borders, paths, and alpine slides.
The plant is a dense bush with flowers collected in an umbrella. The diameter of the Iberis inflorescence reaches six centimeters, and the height of the plant itself usually does not exceed 30 centimeters.
Growing perennial Iberis is not particularly difficult. Seeds for seedlings are usually sown in early March, and in May the seedlings are transplanted to a permanent place. Best suited for Iberis well lit sunny place. As a rule, at an outside temperature of about 20 degrees, seedlings can be expected to appear within two weeks.
There are no special requirements for the choice of soil, but it remains preferable sandy, loamy and rocky soil.
Top dressing plants will not be superfluous. Recommended use complex mineral fertilizers.
Iberis perennial begins to bloom profusely in the second year after sowing. Wherein bloom observed starting in June and lasting about a month. If you trim off the faded stems in time, the plant can continue flowering until autumn.
Despite the unpretentiousness of growing Iberis, its root system can be affected fungal diseases, which slow down plant growth and contribute to the rapid withering of inflorescences.Therefore, to obtain luxurious flowering, it is recommended to disinfect the soil.
