Growing hazelnuts takes place in cities in Italy, Turkey, France, Sweden, America and Germany. But even in our area, unpretentious hazel takes root well and brings a considerable harvest. In addition, during the entire period of cultivation of this nut, no pests or diseases were observed that interfered with its yield.

Growing hazelnuts involves properly planting seedlings. In principle, this plant adapts perfectly to any place - hazel takes root equally well on hills, slopes, lowlands and on river banks. It is better to choose one of the days in November or March for planting seedlings. Having planted hazel, it definitely needs to be watered, weather conditions are not taken into account here - you need to water in both cloudy and sunny weather.

Hazel blossoms can be observed from December to March. If the plant gets enough watering, then expect fruiting possible already 4-6 years after planting.

Hazel needs sunlight. The plant does not like dense plantings and needs constant pruning. When pruning branches, you need to form a low tree shape.
