- The second advantage of lettuce is its early maturity. Just a month and a half after germination, lettuce leaves are already considered ready for harvesting, but if you do not set a goal to harvest the maximum harvest, then you can start collecting grown leaves much earlier, in about a month.

When preparing salad dishes, first wash it well; to add crispiness, you can leave the leaves in cold water for a while. It is not recommended to cut the salad with a knife; it is better to roughly break the leaves with your hands or even use them whole - this way they will retain more vitamins. Leaf varieties of lettuce are used not only in their raw form - they are added to soups; an original dish is obtained by wrapping a well-seasoned meat filling in boiled leaves and then baking them in the oven.
