Features of this variety of tomatoes

This variety is loved by many tomato lovers. It has probably the largest fruits and is incredibly tasty compared to others. Sometimes a “bull’s heart” can reach half a kilogram in weight. You can’t pickle such tomatoes, because this treasure won’t fit in a jar. Therefore, they use it primarily for eating.

In the summer, when the heat forces people to hide in the shade of trees, in the garden at the dacha, a large juicy tomato with salt is the most delicious dish. The “heart” can be used to make very good salads. Seasoning it with herbs, vegetable oil or sour cream, you will get a lot of pleasure and healthy vitamins.

Growing tomatoes on your own plot is a very responsible matter. They need the caring hand of their owner. Very it is important to choose good seedlings – sometimes beautiful green sprouts from the market give a very meager harvest. This can happen if the person who grew them overdoes it with fertilizers. In general, tomatoes need fertilizing. But in moderation and on time. If you have gone too far with phosphorus and potassium, add some ash for a moderate nitrogen background.

Due to the presence of fairly tall stems, the ox heart needs to be tied up for stability. This late-ripening variety is quite resistant to diseases and pests, but sometimes it is also overcome by enemies. The main one is late blight, which appears as a result of stagnation of cool moisture. To avoid this, you need to ventilate greenhouses.

If you grow tomatoes in open conditions, water them mainly on sunny days in the afternoon, retaining moisture in the soil (for example, using cardboard), but not allowing it to spread to the fruit ovaries.

Agricultural technology for growing tomatoes

Tomatoes of this variety require light, highly fertile soils.

Seeds for seedlings begin to be sown in early March to a depth of 3 cm, and before sowing, the seeds must be treated with potassium permanganate and washed with clean water. Dive plant needed in the germination phase of 2 true leaves. Also, to obtain more powerful and strong seedlings, the plant must be fed 2-3 times with a complex of fertilizers, and a week before planting it must be hardened off.

Seedlings can be planted in heated greenhouses from the beginning of April, and in unheated ones - at the beginning of May or at the age of 60 days. In this case, it is necessary to adhere to the planting scheme, which is 40x50 cm or 4 plants per square meter.

Bull's heart is a tall variety of tomatoes, during the formation of which two stems can be formed: the main one and the second, which is formed from the first stepson.

The remaining stepsons and lower leaves must be removed, as the development of the plant will slow down, and the fruits will begin to ripen much later and will be less than the declared characteristics. To obtain ideal fruits, it is necessary to limit the growth of the plant - leave no more than 8 clusters of fruits on the bush.

Further care for tomatoes consists of regular watering using warm water and 2-3 plant feedings during the growing season. It is advisable to use special complex mineral fertilizers for fertilizing, which would contain a full complex of NPK and microelements necessary for the nutrition of vegetable crops.

The bull's heart tomato is a reliable, time-tested, high-yielding variety that guarantees a high-quality harvest when planted throughout Russia.

Ox heart are my favorite tomatoes. They grow so big and sweet! When I start planting, I don’t throw away the first shoots, but root them. And before autumn they manage to produce several fruits. How do you save yourself from late blight?

I constantly take this variety for planting. Children also eat these tomatoes with great pleasure. But it’s not always successful to grow them. I think that a lot depends on weather conditions and climate, no matter how correctly you try to fertilize and grow.

But we, although we love “oxheart” tomatoes, have never planted them, as we didn’t have to. And our land has somehow become bad, small fruits are growing. For some reason the tomatoes also grow very small

My favorite tomatoes! Mmm. Firstly, they are large, and secondly, they are meaty, you can eat enough of one tomato. And how delicious it is... This variety will never go out of popularity, it will only increase. And the yield is good.
