Remember that you can dig up the roots of tulips when the leaves turn completely yellow. Early digging is undesirable because the bulb is in a state of accumulating nutrients and preparing for a state of dormancy. If you harvest the bulbs yourself, then follow these rules:

1. Carefully dig up the root and remove excess soil.
2. Remove old roots, if any.
3. Place the bulbs on a mat to dry. Drying lasts about 10-14 days.
4. Lay out bulbs into containers. Store in a cool place and avoid moisture.
5. If you bought ready-made planting material, then remember that it is better to store tulip bulbs in jars or paper boxes.

Just as in the first case, you should protect the roots from excessive moisture, heat and sunlight. Let us remind you that the ideal air temperature is considered to be between 15-20 degrees Celsius. How to plant tulip bulbs?
