Planting raspberries in spring is easy

Who doesn't love raspberries? There are probably no such people. Everyone dreams of setting aside a place in their summer cottage for this delicious berry. Planting raspberries in spring or early summer is most favorable and convenient for the gardener. What are the features of growing raspberries?
Preparation
The choice of location on the site plays an important role; raspberries love a bright and windless space, preferably near a fence or wall. The soil should be prepared in advance, 2-3 weeks before planting. The ground needs to be cleared of weeds and holes or trenches formed. I prefer the trench method. The trench width is about 60 cm, and the depth is 40 cm. Next, the trenches are filled with a nutrient mixture. Manure or compost is placed at the bottom. Mineral fertilizers, such as superphosphate, will also not hurt. I'm still installing trellises. These are long wooden or metal sticks more than 2 meters high, between which you need to stretch wire in 2-3 rows. Young shoots will then be attached to them.
Landing
Before planting, it is advisable to place ash in the soil. Seedlings should be pruned so that 15-20 cm remain above the ground. Thanks to this, the raspberries will be more prolific. The seedlings are placed vertically in the trench, leaving a distance of 45 cm between them, then covered with earth and watered.
Care
Raspberries are very sensitive to lack of moisture. The peculiarity of watering raspberries is that they need to be watered infrequently, but abundantly.
Proper planting of raspberries in the spring will always bear fruit - tasty and sweet berries!
Comments
In the spring we plant raspberries along the northern border of the site. It is important. Then the raspberries will crawl south along your plot. And if you plant raspberries along the southern border, in a year or two or three they will “move” south to your neighbor.
