A person urgently needs those vegetables and fruits that are rich in vitamins and microelements. And although all these gifts of nature, grown on a personal plot, are storehouses of all substances necessary for humans, some are particularly rich. This is, for example, beans. And that's why growing green beans is of great interest and will bring a rich set of vitamins and microelements to the home table.

For most climatic regions of our country, growing both bush and climbing beans is most suitable. Beans love enough moist sandy loam or light loamy soil. This vegetable is thermophilic, therefore, it is best to place the area for growing beans in a sunny, wind-protected place. When planting bean seeds in the ground, you should remember that it germinates best in established warm weather, and light-colored beans are more thermophilic than dark-colored ones. For any type of green bean, the temperature for good growth is 20-25 degrees Celsius.

Before planting, bean seeds must soak in water room temperature. This is done for better germination. Some gardeners soak beans before planting until the sprouts “peck”, while others do this for only a few hours. Planting depth ranges from two to five centimeters; it is best to plant two seeds in each hole.Green beans are planted in rows, at a distance of 40-50 cm from one row to another, with a distance between plants in a row of 10-12 cm. Bean seeds planted in the ground germinate in 15-20 days.

Beans, like some other vegetables, need spud. This is done to strengthen the root system and improve the nutrition of the plant during the period of fruit set. Hilling is carried out when the bean bush grows to a height of 10 cm.

Caring for growing and fruiting beans is not difficult. It needs to be watered abundantly, loosen the soil between the rows, and weed regularly. Then green beans, grown with your own hands, will delight you with an abundant harvest of healthy and delicious fruits.
