This plant is surprising in that each flower is on the branch for only one day and then falls off.But by the next day other flowers grow, so the hibiscus is never empty.
The flowers will amaze any gardener. They are large in size, as they can grow to approximately no more than 12 cm in diameter. Flowers are usually arranged one at a time, located at a decent distance from each other.
But hibiscus does not grow so quickly; in a few years it will reach its normal size. How to grow such a wonderful plant? How to properly care for it?
Growing and caring for hibiscus
In order for hibiscus to be comfortable, it must be grown on loose, fertile, humus-rich soil. soil. The place should be illuminated by the sun, be windless, and watering should be regular. If the plant is properly cared for, it can grow for 20 years or even more.
If the plant is young, then it must be stored from frost, as it may not withstand it.
If you decide to plant a hibiscus in the fall, then in winter you definitely need to mulch the ground surrounding it, and you should also tie the plant with spruce branches.
If there are severe frosts in your region, then it is advisable to plant hibiscus in the spring. The plant loves feeding with phosphorus-containing fertilizers. In order for the bush to be beautiful and well-groomed, it needs to be plucked and the shoots trimmed in the spring.

More and more often, this plant is used as a hedge decoration. Bush usually reaches up to 3 meters in height and up to one and a half meters in width. The leaves of garden tree hibiscus are small in size, ovoid in shape, and appear quite late. If the spring was cold, then the leaves may turn yellowish, like in autumn.
Reproduction and transplantation
If the time has come to replant the plant, then this should be done in the spring, and early, before the hibiscus begins to bloom. Before transplanting, prune the branches. You need to trim about half the length of the branch. After replanting the plant, take care of good lighting, as well as abundant watering. In this case, after a year the plant will begin to bloom.
Hibiscus can be propagated in several ways, for example, by sowing seeds, cuttings and layering. But propagation by cuttings is the easiest way.
Cuttings should be cut in the summer, and the sections should be treated with a product such as a growth stimulator. Next, root the cuttings in a soil mixture placed in a container. The soil mixture is made from peat and sand. Cuttings usually take root within a month, after which plant them in small pots. The soil mixture for pots is prepared from humus, turf and leaf soil, as well as sand. The soil should be watered with warm water.

Seed sowing is carried out from January to March. The seeds are planted in a soil mixture made from peat and sand. The container with seeds is covered with glass, the temperature should be at least 25 degrees. From time to time, seeding needs to be sprayed and ventilated. When several leaves appear during germination, they need to be dive into pots. When growing hibiscus from seed, flowering will begin in 3-4 years.
Plant diseases
You can determine the condition of the hibiscus by its appearance. If its buds do not open, this indicates that the hibiscus lacks nutrients and watering.
If the lower leaves fall off, they suffer from chlorosis due to the high content of calcium chlorine in the water.
If pests appear, the hibiscus must be treated with an insecticide.
Thus, hibiscus growing and care is unpretentious, but you need to remember and follow certain rules so that the plant grows, develops and blooms well.
