Strawberries
A vitamin storehouse present in every garden is strawberries. Its rich taste, bright color and medicinal properties are closely related to its rich composition. The content of iron, folic acid and vitamin C in several strawberries is higher than in the same orange, apple and grapes.
Despite their unpretentiousness to soils, growing strawberries and their yield will depend on the amount of nutrients, watering and groundwater levels. The site should be located in an open sunny place on moist soil, but without stagnant water. Watering for strawberries is especially important, since the roots are located at a depth of only 20 cm. But the occurrence of groundwater should be no closer than 0.7 m to the surface.
Site preparation should be carried out in the fall. To do this, the soil is dug up with mineral and organic fertilizers. The depth of digging is of great importance: garden strawberries will bear fruit the better, the deeper the soil is tilled. You will find everything about the varietal characteristics of the crop, other rules for growing and planting strawberries in this section.
