The most popular semi-sharp onion varieties are Kaba, Krasnodar G-35, Karatalsky. Such onion varieties as Danilovsky 301 and Orange are good for salads.

If a summer resident does not want to wait two years to obtain onions, then you can purchase onion varieties such as Chalcedony, Duetto, Zolotnichok, Early Pink, and Carmen. If you plant them in winter, then the next year you can grow turnips from them.
