We germinate potatoes before planting for yield

Sometimes sprouting potatoes before planting is necessary. If the tubers were not prepared for planting, especially in the early stages, results will appear only after 10-15 days. Shoots will be able to appear above the surface after 15-20 days. Germination can be performed in several cases.
How to sprout potatoes
Calculate how long the early variety will need to grow, it’s about a month. Early dates can be achieved if you resort to simple techniques:
- germination in the light of tubers, 25-35 days, at a temperature of 12-15°;
- germination in a humid environment, sawdust, peat, manure, and even soil and sand are suitable, it takes 15-20 days, the temperature is the same;
- drying potato tubers at a temperature of 10°C.
10-15 days is a plus if you germinate tubers in the light. The waiting time for flowering and tuber growth is reduced. The harvest also increases by 40-50%. And in this way it is much more convenient to look for unhealthy tubers, since there is some time left before germination. Thread-like roots that have not sprouted will also have to be removed.
Choose well-lit places. You need layers of 2-3 tubers. 1 sq. m can hold 50-60 kg of tubers. It is advisable to seat them in 1 row. Then the sprouts get enough light, they turn out short, thick, and their color is dark. The roots sit tightly on the tubers. Regular room temperature is required.
Tubers are very conveniently arranged in front of the window. They are strung on twine and supported on something.When you achieve success, handle the achievement carefully. Transport them in hard boxes; the roots must not be broken. Germinating potatoes before planting is not difficult, but the result will be very important.
Comments
And I know that after harvesting, the potatoes that will be used for the next planting are also kept in the light so that the tubers turn green. So, apparently, planting potatoes retain their properties better and the result will be better.
