Growing green beans

Green beans are a dietary product whose protein content is close to that of meat. Its unripe beans contain a large amount of microelements and vitamins. The juicy leaves are also suitable for food; unlike other varieties, they do not contain a parchment layer.
Growing green beans
- Seeds are planted early, in soil that has not yet had time to warm up.
- Plants should be located at a distance from perennial crops, in the roots of which slugs often live, which can harm young bean leaves.
- Shoots require strong support; not every fence can withstand their weight. You should not use a net; it will be difficult to remove tangled lashes from it.
- It is important to harvest the pods on time, otherwise the grains will become coarse and unfit for consumption.
- For long-term storage, beans need to be frozen.
The most popular varieties: Vigna, Saksa, Maslyanaya, Oltin, Yubileynaya, Kharkovskaya white-seeded, Beloozernaya.
Growing green beans is possible even on acidic and alkaline soils, but a rich harvest will ripen only on fertile soil. The best precursors for the crop are: potatoes, root vegetables, cucumbers, cabbage, and onions. It is worth planting in the same place no earlier than after 3-4 years.

Comments
This year we planted asparagus beans for the first time and have already harvested the harvest, I must say the harvest is quite good, we collected more than a kilogram from a small garden bed. They didn’t do any special care, they didn’t even do any support or anything - everything was fine!
