In 15 liters of water, dilute a kilogram - two clay, a kilogram of manure and a kilogram of slaked thick lime or chalk. After three days, the mixture is ready for use; it is necessary to whitewash the trunks at a height of 1.5 meters, deepening the whitewash to the underground part of the trunk by 4 - 5 cm, having previously dug up the trunk to this depth, and after the procedure, bury it again. Whitewashing should be carried out in spring and autumn.

The advantage of biological methods of controlling insect pests is that they can be used during almost the entire period of flowering, ovary and ripening of the crop.
