Sunny, fluffy goldenrod

The Latin name for this yellow-flowering herb is Solidago, which translated means strong and healthy. The tall, handsome guest from North America has taken root well throughout Eurasia. In its homeland, it was considered a real healer, and thanks to its excellent self-sowing, in our country it is also no longer quite an ornamental plant. An unpretentious, persistent shrub has anti-inflammatory, diuretic and astringent properties. It is used in folk medicine for diseases of the stomach and intestines, inflammation of the genitourinary system, kidney stones and some skin diseases.
