Lantana from seeds

Lantana interesting for its colors. They are small, have a pleasant aroma and at the same time are collected in fairly large umbrellas. The peculiarity is that in flowers in one inflorescence are painted in different shades. Those flowers that bloom first acquire yellow and orange colors, and a little later they become rich red.
Grown lantana from seeds - This is the most common method. You can start this simple activity as early as February. Until seedlings appear on the soil surface, it is better to maintain the temperature at 16°C - this will take about 7-15 days.
Lantana can also be grown from seeds using a method common among indoor plant lovers. Berries with seeds are recommended place in a thermos and fill with water at a temperature of 40°C. The seeds need to soak for about two to three hours. Then the seeds are freed from the berry pulp and placed in water for another day. Next, you can begin planting in nutritious soil with good penetration of air and water. The planted seeds should be covered with film and placed in a warm place.
Lantana does not require care, provided that it can get your share of sunshine. It is not afraid of dry air, so there is no need to spray the plant. Watering should be plentiful, but it is better to do this when the earthen ball dries out. Lantana can react to a lack of moisture by drying out inflorescences and even dying.
In winter, the plant does not look so picturesque. There are not many leaves left on the elongated branches.It is best to trim such branches. Besides pruning allows you to form a compact bush followed by good flowering.
