In general, growing this ornamental shrub is not very easy. Weigela, care which is associated with the observance of a number of conditions, it grows well on illuminated and protected from the wind land plots. Even slight shading leads to poorer flowering. You should always remember this fact, especially if you notice problems during cultivation.

Weigela hybrida prefers exclusively loose soil. To obtain the optimal soil mixture, you need to mix humus (or fallen leaves), sand and a turf layer of earth. Be sure to add a little complex mineral fertilizer. But early weigela loves peaty and moist soils.

As you can see, before growing weigela, you first need to become more familiar with each of its varieties. For example, heat-loving species of this shrub are usually planted in the spring, and the rest - in the fall. Also check for drainage.
