Home cypress

Indoor cypress has been living in my house for 2 years. I like its shape, its beneficial properties like all conifers and its easy care. But since winter, some branches began to dry out. I don’t know what the reason is. I water it every day and spray it. It's on the window in the kitchen.

This is what cypress trees are like.

Perhaps it lacks moisture. And if the branches are on one side, then the sun hits it. It probably needs to be moved into the shade. And be sure to spray in the morning and evening.

My windows are east. It turns out that in the morning the sun is not so hot, but in the afternoon it is already shaded. It’s not clear why one side is dry. I will water and spray more often. And yet another misfortune happened. It fell on me yesterday and the top broke off. I cut it off. Now he is lower than before. Will it remain low or will it grow back?

It seems that like any other tree, your cypress will definitely grow back, but with side shoots - the broken top will not grow back.

Cypress may be an evergreen plant, but everything has its due date. Perhaps in your case the old branches are simply dying off, and that’s why they are turning yellow. Try feeding the plant with a good fertilizer and monitor watering.

I agree with the majority of opinions, everyone has a period - when they seem to recover and reset what they don’t need... So wait and see...
