Bonsai

We gave my husband the ficus tree he dreamed of. It looks very good in the interior, it has an unusual trunk. Sprays it every day, waters it a little less often. Is he doing it right? What beneficial properties does this tree have?

However, you surprised me. This is the first time I’ve heard of men caring for plants on their own. Usually they assign this responsibility to their significant other and prefer not to engage in nurturing and care. Your husband is apparently an exception to all the rules, one can only envy him.

Yes, I was surprised myself, but he had been dreaming about this particular tree for a long time! He really likes it and does not require special care. He doesn't care about other colors))))

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know it couldn't be moved. Well, we couldn’t stand it. Stands in one place.

In principle, your husband is doing everything right. Just keep in mind that ficus does not really like being dragged from place to place - this plant, so to speak, loves constancy. And in the summer you can take it out into the fresh air, for example, onto the balcony. But you don’t need to place it where direct sunlight falls - the ficus loves shade.

Ficus plants are generally the most unpretentious plants. Doesn't require any special care. Well done husband. If he wants the ficus not to grow in height and to have a shape, he still needs to trim it.

I, too, was once given a ficus, but I looked after it so diligently that in the end I apparently over-cared for it. It began to wither and eventually dried up completely. No matter what I did to him to revive him, nothing helped. It was such a shame to lose such beauty.

What a beautiful tree! Does it also belong to the ficus family? I have two ficus trees growing - but both feel so difficult. I’ve already given them sun, but that’s not right, I did drainage - it doesn’t help... Maybe I should ask my husband to take care of them :)

What is the name of this ficus? I have a ficus benjamina growing. He is generally unpretentious in care. And to understand what to do with yours, you need to know its variety..
