Azalea. How to grow it at home?

I really love this flower, but I just can’t grow it at home. From the store I bring a beautiful flowering bush, which, for reasons unknown to me, after another week, completely crumbles and dies. And I water it properly and replant it in fertile soil, but every time history repeats itself again. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

Since Azalea grows high in the mountains, it prefers the cold. In summer, it is recommended to cover the pot itself with ice cubes and water it every day, only in this case will you save this beautiful bush.

Azalea loves cool weather and always acidic soil. Also, azalea does not tolerate drying out of the earthen coma. Once a week or two, the flower pot should be placed in a basin of water so that the soil is saturated with moisture through the lower holes of the pot. The azalea must be sprayed several times a day and it does not tolerate temperature changes and dry air in the apartment.

It looks like the dust particles need to be blown off this flower so that it grows and blooms, but in the store I constantly see blooming specimens. It seems to me that the reason for this is that such flowers are grown hydroponically and when they are transplanted into ordinary soil, they cannot adapt to it.

I also often hear that Azalea does not take root well at home. This is an alpine flower. You can fertilize it once a week with azalea fertilizer and spray it often, or even better, give it a shower in the bathroom - place the pot in the bathroom and in the shower for about 30 minutes.

When I bought my first Azalea, I didn’t pay much attention to it. But in the summer it all crumbled and turned into a dead tree, I later read that it needs to be covered with ice cubes in the summer.

I agree that azalea is a very difficult flower to care for and requires special attention. I also agree on putting ice cubes over it, but in this matter the main thing is not to overdo it. You can simply place the pot in cold water periodically, but do not let it become waterlogged.
