Ants in the garden

There are ants in the garden, there are a lot of them, if anyone knows, please tell me how you can quickly and effectively poison them without harm to your health?

We scattered millet in the cucumber holes where the ant bred aphids. Very quickly the millet disappeared, it was carried away by an ant and soon they disappeared. I found this method of fighting ants on some gardening website. Insects' bellies burst from millet.

Got rid of ants using semolina. The effect is the same as with millet. I scattered semolina near the plants that had aphids and around the underground anthill. And the ant problem was solved.

Semolina is probably preferable to millet, because it is softer. In addition, it is smaller in size than millet and it will be easy for ants to chew it. In order for the ants to finally leave, you need to apply the cereal weekly.

To be honest, I didn’t really believe in all these folk remedies and fought the ants on the site with the help of diazinon. The drug is quite effective, because 3 days after its use, there were no ants on the site.

How did you fight ants with this drug? Should it be dissolved and sprayed on the plants, or what should be done? I know that this allergy drug is used more often.

Pesticides work flawlessly and the ants, of course, will die.We tried placing plastic bottles in places where insects accumulated, with the neck cut off on the inside, the walls of which were greased with vegetable oil. There are a lot of ants caught in such a container.

I can’t say anything about allergies, since the task of using it was completely different. And so, I bought it in the form of an emulsion (concentrated), diluted it with water and used a sprayer to water the problem areas.

I also didn’t know how to get rid of ants, I used different means. I didn’t know about millet. It probably really helps, since a person writes. But one man told me about soda. You need to sprinkle the soil with soda, and then water it, or let it rain.

Dry boric acid helps very well. You can simply buy it at the pharmacy, but they come in small packages. In gardening stores there are packages of 500 grams and more. You can dilute it in boiling water and pour it over the anthill, or simply sprinkle this product on it.

It is not always visible where the ants come to the garden from, no, there is an obvious anthill. Therefore, it is better to treat the plants on which ants breed aphids with something. Of course, the most effective is chemistry, i.e. various pesticides. Ants disappear after the first use.
