How to grow peanuts?
This year I planted peanuts, somewhere in early May and to a depth of 20 cm. But they did not sprout, only a few bushes, and then I noticed them by chance. They told me that I threw it into the unheated ground early, and also deep and hard. The idea of planting next year is present, please tell me how to do this correctly?
There are several subtleties to growing peanuts. My girlfriend grew it on the windowsill as an experiment. I received a handful of fruits. It’s not profitable, it’s easier and cheaper to buy half a kilo.
Peanuts are a heat-loving plant; they should not grow in mid-latitudes. Or it is possible that the food seeds do not reach a sufficient degree of maturity for something to come out of them. I tried to germinate the nucleoli, but it didn’t go beyond swelling and pecking.
Planting depth plays a big role, I also made the same mistake and planted deep, but nothing came up. Then I read the literature on growing peanuts, found out, and the next year everything grew. Only I didn’t grow it in the garden, but in a greenhouse.
I tried to grow it at home, but to no avail. I buried the nuts deeper, as they advise everywhere. Only 2 seedlings sprouted, and only after a month and a half, they were weak. One gave a couple of leaves, the second rotted. This plant is not for our latitudes.

It is better, of course, to plant peanuts in warm soil. My neighbor in the country is planting in a greenhouse. Dig a shallow hole and plant. Don't pour too much, otherwise it will rot.
I completely agree with the forum members, planting and growing peanuts is a troublesome task and the result is absolutely not worth the effort, time and overall costs. Peanuts love warmth and moderate humidity, and such a climate is not found in every part of our country.
Planting peanuts is just to be curious about what will happen. But you can’t plant a plantation. I live in the Urals, so I can’t grow it. I won’t occupy the greenhouse with them. What's the point? It’s at Svetofor over there for 119 rubles per kilogram.
