I grow eggplants every year in open ground. The most important thing is to water them and spray them against beetles and aphids. And the rest is not difficult. Then just harvest. Personally, we use drip irrigation. Very comfortably.

Eggplants are very fond of watering, if you do not have the opportunity to provide this to the plant, then it is better not to plant it, but in general they are quite unpretentious, they grow well and quickly. I don’t grow in greenhouses, everything is in the open air at the dacha.
In terms of water requirements, eggplants cannot compare with cabbage. Therefore, you can water them two to three times a week. Another thing is protecting vegetables from the Colorado potato beetle; here you can’t do without chemicals.
