Daffodils
I love these flowers. I have collected several species, but I don’t know when and how to plant. Tell me who planted it. Where in your garden they grow is also interesting.

For the most part, daffodils are very unpretentious, but some varieties still require special care, otherwise they may lose their distinctive features.
It is better to plant them in groups, as they look more beautiful. I plant bulbs before winter, although you can plant them in early spring, but then you don’t know whether they will bloom. If you plant before winter, it is advisable to cover the planting site, otherwise the bulbs in the ground may freeze and rot.
A friend of mine always orders landing outside of Russia, I don’t remember exactly where. So here is my conclusion: prices for overseas landings have now increased greatly, well, it’s understandable why, this dollar is jumping forever. But in Russia, prices are still more or less optimal, and the quality, in my opinion, is almost the same!
I have daffodils growing in my flowerbed, what does a garden have to do with it? There is no place for flowers there, it seems to me. I bought myself a huge number of bulbs of these flowers a long time ago, now they delight me every year with their flowering. They are usually planted in the fall, I do this in September.
After they have finished blooming, I dig up the daffodil tubers, discard the missing and soft ones, and put the good ones in a plastic container and store them in the refrigerator. At the end of August I plant them again. I love it when there is a pattern in the flowerbed, so I don’t let the tubers overwinter in the ground.
They once dug up a daffodil bush for me in the middle of summer. I immediately planted him. I watered it with water for a couple of days so that it would take root, since the buds were already formed. And what do you think? The narcissus took root and even bloomed. I don’t dig up daffodils for the winter. But at the end of August I always dig it up for 3-4 days to dry it out and plant it.
Common situation. Yes, I also brought the first daffodils for myself, then bought bulbs in the fall. They bloomed well on Sakhalin and did not freeze. But in the Khabarovsk Territory this flower does not grow for me, and I cannot understand the reason.
Our daffodils have been growing not in the flowerbed, but along the garden path, for many years. In spring they are one of the first flowers to bloom and daffodils are a real pleasure to look at. We do not dig up or replant the bulbs. In our region, these flowers do not freeze out. Caring for daffodils consists of weeding, watering and fertilizing.
Daffodils are best planted in the fall. Then in the spring they will definitely delight you with flowering.
It all depends on what region you live in. Try planting some of the bulbs in winter and some in spring. And see which ones will grow and bloom better. If the winter is mild and the spring is early, then feel free to plant in the fall.
Daffodils, like all bulbs, are best planted in the fall. Choose sunny places for planting. As for the rest, don't bother. The flower is not very whimsical and if in the first year it does not gain strength due to some unsuitable conditions, then next year it will definitely please you.
When I planted daffodils for the first time, I was also worried and thought that nothing would come of it, they should be planted with bulbs in the fall and it is advisable that they be further away from each other, do not plant flowers densely.
