How to build a gazebo?

We were inspired to build a small round gazebo on our site. We love our relatives' gazebo. It is made of good wood, 8 wooden pillars and the foundation is raised. Does anyone have experience in building this or a similar gazebo, and not necessarily with a rise, but we want a round one.

We have no experience, although we have a gazebo. We did it quite simply - we hired builders who literally built everything for us in a couple of weeks, now all we can do is relax there and enjoy the local nature.

We built a wooden gazebo over the weekend, all we have to do is coat it with varnish to make it more beautiful, and arrange it inside. The main thing is to choose high-quality wood for construction and it is advisable to treat it before building, then the gazebo will last longer.

I built the gazebo myself, making it hexagonal in shape. The foundations were poured from concrete. The floors were also made of concrete. Its size was determined so that six people could sit at the round table. I attached the benches directly to the fence of the gazebo - this is convenient, because you don’t need to look for chairs.

There are people with golden hands and they build everything themselves! We have a rectangular 3 by 2 m.we let climbing plants grow along it, and in general it turned out to be a gazebo-gazebo. Friends built it. I advise you to definitely draw a design for the future gazebo. The material is usually wood. The base is at your discretion. You can install a columnar concrete foundation or a stone one. Such a foundation prevents wooden structures from moisture.

Or you can just have the floor, as you want, as I understand it, without raising the base. And here sand, gravel, and wood come into use.

Thanks for the answer. We plan, of course, to make a project in the program. We roughly imagine what we want, but we don’t yet know what kind of base to make, what material to make so that it is durable and moisture-resistant. There are so many nuances that need to be worked out.

Maybe you shouldn’t build such a necessary thing as a gazebo yourself, but order it from professionals. It will be easier and everything will be done for you as you wish.

It makes sense to build a gazebo yourself only if you have the appropriate dexterity and skills. Otherwise, even with significant savings, the gazebo is unlikely to look good from an aesthetic point of view, which is also important.

Girls, I don’t agree with you! My friend’s husband built a wonderful gazebo himself, alone, without the help of anyone else. I did it almost the whole season, by the second season I laid out the floor in the gazebo with colored paving tiles, but for my wife’s birthday it turned out to be an amazing gift - the gazebo is large, there is a round table in it and there is room for a lot of people - relatives and friends.

At first I decided to build a gazebo in the yard myself, but my wife was categorically against it, like my arms are not the right height, maybe someone can tell me who I can contact to do it well and not expensively

The gazebo can be built from a metal profile pipe, and then the frame can be covered with planed boards and varnished. Such a gazebo will be quite durable and look like wood.

It is convenient to build a gazebo from a metal frame covered with wood.

Why cover the frame with wood, you can paint the profile pipe, and build the roof of the gazebo from bitumen shingles on OSB boards. Rain will not clog the gazebo, and it will be well ventilated.
