Tigridia
In Russia, we are accustomed to the need to grow cold-resistant and frost-resistant plants, which is dictated by climatic conditions. Tigridia is considered one of the amazing cold-resistant flower crops. It got its name from the tiger color of the central part of the flower.
To plant bulbs, gardeners wait for warm spring weather, which sets in around mid-May. The conditions in which tigridia is planted are an air temperature of 20-25 C and moist soil, into which the bulb is buried 10-12 cm, maintaining a distance of 15 cm between them. As a lover of bright sunlight, the flower is not afraid of direct sunlight, but requires regular watering.
Despite the fact that tigridia care is not so difficult, it is worth treating it with care. 1.5 weeks after planting the bulbs, they are fed with nitrogen fertilizer. During flowering, it is necessary to regularly get rid of faded flowers, and very careful loosening of the soil is also required. The bulbs are dug up for the winter.
