Bulb onions

We all love delicious soups, fried, stewed and baked dishes. It is hardly possible to cook them without such an irreplaceable ingredient as onions. It is no secret that onions, like garlic, are very often grown as a garden crop. As the bulb grows, green “feathers” appear on the surface, rich in iodine, vitamin C and other beneficial vitamins. They are quite suitable for preparing any dishes.

According to the recommendations of experts, onions should not be grown in the place where garlic previously grew. The bed needs to be changed annually, and returning to the old place is possible only after 5 years. To ensure optimal growth conditions, the soil should be well prepared in the fall. It is cleared of weeds, branches and sharp sticks, dug up with any fertilizer except fresh manure.

All activities with onions in the spring should consist of removing weeds and loosening them before sowing. Do not forget about creating a flat surface, which will ensure uniform access of moisture to the roots, but leveling the beds must be done in the fall.
