Flowers growing in the shade

My flowerbed turned out to be in the shade, but I really want flowers to grow on it, not greenery. Recommend flowers that grow in the shade.

In our shade, lilies of the valley and cornflowers feel great. The rest of the plants are not too tall, but they also bloom. And the hosta is not afraid of the shadow - its lilac flowers delight the eye in the shade of our city park, for example.

Among the tall ones are phlox and hellebore that grow well in the shade.

Among the low-growing ones, I love nasturtium. Here it constantly grows in the shade. In the sun it does not bloom so well and the leaves are then very light, but in the shade, on the contrary, both the flower and the leaf are beautiful.

You can also plant garden geranium, but it is capricious in watering and does not bloom so profusely.

For lightening - edged euphorbia.

All these flowers are summer flowers, that is, they bloom in the summer, not in the spring.

Heucheras grow wonderfully in the shade. These are unpretentious perennials with a wide variety of leaf colors - from burgundy to acid-salad. Among annuals, balsam holds the shadow leadership. Very easy to grow from seedlings. All summer it will delight with its continuous flowering.

"Japanese primrose" grows very well in shaded areas. It is better to plant seedlings because the seeds are very small. This plant is a perennial, so no year will please the eye.

I planted lilies of the valley mainly in such places, but a flowerbed in the shade is not the best option, although not the worst, you don’t lose anything, if something doesn’t work out for you, try planting lilies of the valley.

In shady gardens, the most popular astilbe are Arends, Thunberg, Japanese, or iris

Sorry for the double, I didn’t notice by chance)
