Mallow zebrina

This year I planted zebrina mallow for seedlings. The seedlings were very small and planted plants measuring 6-7 centimeters in the ground. Now the plant is more or less growing and even seems to be about to bloom. but the mallow must be very tall, at least a meter in height, and for me it is currently 15 centimeters. Who can tell me anything about this?

You probably planted the seedlings too early, they have stretched out and have not gained the necessary strength to grow large. But I advise you to wait, perhaps the mallow in the open ground will begin to grow vigorously, this happened to me a couple of times and it bloomed, although not as vigorously as usual, but still well.

In fact, it is best to plant mallow not with seedlings, but with seeds, and this should be done for the winter. Seedlings are very sensitive to changes in location. But the seeds adapt to new conditions during wintering and in the spring they will delight you with good seedlings.

Mallow can be planted either with seeds before winter or with seedlings in the spring, just the seeds for seedlings should be sown no later than mid-March, and the seedlings may not look strong and beautiful, but in the ground they will quickly mature. In order for the plant to tolerate replanting normally, it is better to grow seedlings in peat pots. And it will bloom better in the second year.

I will support the user Svetka, plant the mallow with seeds for the winter, only then will it adapt. If you planted seedlings, then make sure that nothing interferes with the flower nearby. While the plant is growing, there is no need to replant it 10 times, looking for a better place and hoping that the mallow will become tall.
