Maple

“You are my fallen maple..” ))) I want to plant a small maple on the plot. Whatever you say, this tree has beautiful foliage. I would also like it to not die in winter. I would like some advice: which variety to choose.

I really like the maple, which immediately has two colors on the leaf, it is also called platanolea, and it seems that it is not very afraid of frost.

We have a red maple tree growing near our house. It was so nicknamed because it is in the fall that its leaves turn bright red, it is not whimsical and can grow up to 25 meters in height.

Forgive me, but I’m not a fan of non-fruit trees growing in the garden. Still, this is a garden, not a forest or shelterbelt, and the land must be used profitably. Although, if the area allows you to create your own alley, then why not plant forest trees for yourself.

Do you want to plant a regular maple or an ornamental one? And what does the word “small” mean? Do you think that there are species of maples that do not grow to several meters? For example, I have never met such people in my life or do not know about their existence. Can someone convince me otherwise?

I've never heard of a "small" maple. This is a fairly tall tree and you will have a hard time keeping it growing, if at all. Try it though, experiment.

The shortest variety of maple will be 7-10 meters in height. Below, it seems to me that they don’t exist at all. And the distance to the next tree should be at least 15 meters. If the place allows you to plant such a tree, then plant it and rejoice.

The man asked for advice; they had already attacked.

First, there are decorative maples - they reach a maximum height of 5 m. The average height of a maple is 7 - 10, tall ones - up to 12 m.

A good variety is Norway maple. It has light large leaves and tolerates winter well. In the parks you can find palmleaf and Japanese maples. They are just small, but the leaves are small and with many notches. Personally, I like the Henry variety, but it is a tall and large tree, and is unlikely to be suitable for the garden, although the “giant” would look great among an empty area.

I found maple seedlings on the website. There are several types, the height is average. But it will probably be too high for the site. He can choose linden instead of maple, it will be lower, or just a shrub. They have seedlings from the nursery, and their prices are competitive. There is delivery by Russian Post or transport company

Maple and linden can be planted anywhere near the yard. The quantity may be something like this - two maple seedlings and two linden trees. Our space near the yard is small and we cannot plant more than two or three trees.

Whatever you say, only you will have to choose based on the climatic conditions in which you live and how much space you can allocate for this tree. All varieties are different and their sizes are very different. It is generally not possible to buy a seedling of such a tree from us, only on the Internet.
