Hoya

Let's talk about Hoyas! I really love these plants for their unpretentiousness and the incredible scent of the flowers. I currently have two plants: Hoya carnosa and Hoya lacunosa. Carnose takes a long time to grow each leaf, while lacunose grows half a meter during this time.

What kind of hoyki do you have?

I can speak for Imperialis - it smells delicious! But only at night from about 11 to 7, during the day there is no smell at all. It smells like gardenia, in the middle of the night - a heavy, expensive perfume so strong that you can't be near it. That is, do not bloom for the bedroom.

Hmm, I discovered that I had not thought about what types of hoya there are - I once saw a flowering plant at a friend’s house, liked the small, wonderful flowers, and took a few leaves for myself this summer. They grow very well, quickly - I wonder when they will bloom. I need to look in the identifier to see what kind of species I have now :)

Oh, I didn’t immediately understand what we were talking about, I call Hoya wax ivy. Judging by the photo, I have a Hoya tricolor or Exotica. The flowers are bright scarlet. Truly a decoration for any room. For this flower, it is important to properly maintain the humidity and temperature in the room, since too wet soil can lead to rotting of the roots.

I don't like the way hoya smells. It gives me a headache. That is why I moved my Hoya from the bedroom to the kitchen. Yes, the flowers are very beautiful, like wax, I really like them.

My sister is a florist with a capital F, and I just recently saw a photo of her flowerbed where only hoyas grow, only in different colors. The beauty is indescribable, I immediately wanted to see one like this in my own home.

And I have carnose))
Very beautiful flower, I love it)))
