How to properly clean pots of old plants?

I have many pots of plants that have disappeared. How should they be cleaned/disinfected so that a new plant can be grown in it?

I never do that. I dug up an old plant, added fertile soil, and planted a similar plant. What is the point of disinfection, what does it give?

There is no need to disinfect them. Simply rinse thoroughly with running water and everything will dry out and fill with drainage and soil. At least that's what I always do.

It is enough to simply wash the pot in running water, but before planting the soil can be calcined in the oven, this is done so that all sorts of bugs do not appear in it.

I also don’t disinfect the pots, but try to calcine the soil in the oven, because now a lot of low-quality soil is sold. Once, even a midge started infested because of the purchased soil.

I just wash the pot well and that's it. If the previous flower died due to the appearance of pests in it, then, of course, such a pot needs to be treated especially carefully, doused with boiling water, for example, or thrown away altogether.
