How can you quickly destroy aphids on raspberries, currants and roses?
Is it true that for this you need to dilute ammonia with water 50 to 50, add washing powder (1 teaspoon per 1.5 liters) and spray the infected plants? I was told that this could kill the pest.
We diluted soap with garlic and then sprayed the plants with this solution. We had aphids on cucumbers and zucchini. This helps, but you need to spray it often. In addition, we tried to fight the ants that breed aphids. Millet was poured under the cucumbers. The ants eat it and their stomachs burst.
My neighbor in the country persistently imposes her method on everyone: she dilutes flea shampoo and sprays her flowers with this solution. To be honest, I'm shocked. I prefer the option with laundry soap.
A very interesting method. In my opinion, flea shampoo will be much safer for plants than any chemical means of combating aphids. I'll try it this year too.
We did something similar, only using tar soap not only on flowers, but also on tomatoes, it helps quite well, but unfortunately not for long. Method with water 50%, ammonia 50% and 1 teaspoon of washing powder per 1.5 liters. (described above), works flawlessly on roses, raspberries, and currants.
As a rule, there are no aphids on tomatoes, so there is no need to spray them.I always spray my tomatoes with Fitosporin only. But the Colorado potato beetle may be welcome to the tomato bed.
Yeah. This is how you buy a raspberry from someone (“take it, take it, it’s your own, homemade berry”), and they treated it with flea shampoo. O.o Creepy!
I have a few raspberries, just for testing purposes. Of course, there are aphids, but where would we be without them? I also spray it with soapy water. Tar soap has already been mentioned here, so I also treat the bushes with it.
I don’t spray raspberries with anything and there are never aphids on them. There are aphids on cucumbers, but not everywhere, there are also on zucchini. We periodically treat vegetables against aphids with mustard powder.
Flea shampoo? Which one is this? Canine, what do pet stores sell? What is the point in this, since aphids and fleas, despite the fact that they are insects, react differently to different stimuli? But on the other hand, if she wants to spend money, let her spend it.
I don’t know, maybe I’m lucky, but the easiest way to combat aphids is to spray the bushes with soapy water, and it works one hundred percent. I just make a solution of their laundry soap and water (300g of soap per 10 liters of water) and spray it.
